To celebrate the 2012 London Olympics Paul Smith was asked to design a set of stamps for the Isle of Man Post Office. Inspired by his good friend the Olympic cyclist, and Isle of Man native, Mark Cavendish.
A vocal fan of cycling, the designer is looking forward in particular to the Men's Road Race - the first cycling event at the Games - which Cavendish is favourite to win. It is estimated the race will attract the single biggest crowd of the Games, around two million, who will line the 156 mile course. The group of 7 stamps, bearing Smith's signature colourful palette, are available now from Paul Smith shops and online www.paulsmith.co.uk
Pricing from £3 - £50 for a hardback collector's book.
